Location: Astoria, Queens Schedule: 1 Day Per Weekend (Saturday or Sunday), Daytime hours About Us: We are a busy professional family (Dad is a Software Engineer/Filmmaker, Mom is a Physical Therapist) living in a clean and organized home in Astoria. We are looking for a reliable, engaging caregiver for our loving and playful 2-year-old son. He currently attends daycare during the week, so he is well-socialized and comfortable being cared for by adults other than his parents. The Role: We are looking for support one weekend day per week to help us balance household responsibilities. Phase 1 (Helper): To start, you will care for our son in our home while we are present in the apartment. We'll be catching up on housework and other weekly tasks. Phase 2 (Solo Care): Once we have built a relationship and feel comfortable, the role will transition to include solo care while we run errands, as well as taking him on trips within the neighborhood (local playgrounds, the library, etc.). Ideal Candidate: Healthcare Background: Given our family background, we specifically encourage candidates currently pursuing degrees in healthcare (PT, OT, Nursing, Pre-Med, SLP, etc.) to apply. Experience: Previous experience with toddlers is required. Engagement: We are looking for someone who will actively play, read, and engage with him rather than just supervise. Requirements: Must be able to commute to Astoria. Reliable, communicative, and trustworthy.
