Part-Time Nanny / Family Assistant (Infant Experience Required) We are a warm, organized family in Northern Virginia looking for a part-time nanny / family assistant to care for our 1-year-old son and help support our home. This is a long-term role for someone who enjoys both childcare and light household support. I work from home and will be present during your shift, but this role is focused on caring for our son and supporting our family while I work. Childcare always comes first. Household tasks happen during naps or when our son is content. -Schedule- Part-time, starting at 2 days per week Consistent days and times when we are home Opportunity to add additional days or hours over time We typically travel once every 1–2 months -Travel, Rollover Hours, Flexibility- When we are home, your schedule will be consistent week to week. If a scheduled day falls during travel, we will provide advance notice and make a good-faith effort to reschedule. We have flexibility during the week to add makeup days. If hours cannot be rescheduled right away, they may be rolled over and worked within a 6-week window, based on mutual availability. Any rollover hours not worked within that window will expire and will not be paid. -Responsibilities- Primary: Attentive, loving care for our 1-year-old Age-appropriate play, meals, and naps Maintaining a safe, calm environment During naps or while son is content to self-play: Meal prep for dinner Prepare a simple lunch for me and our son Dishes and kitchen reset Child-related laundry Light household tasks such as tidying, organizing, breaking down boxes, and cleaning out the refrigerator We have professional deep cleaning every two weeks — no heavy cleaning required. -Health and Illness- Please do not come if you are feeling ill; your health matters. Missed hours due to caregiver illness may be rescheduled and rolled over within the same 6-week window. If our son is sick, we will inform you as soon as possible and will not expect you to work. Missed days will be rescheduled once he is well. Our goal is to prioritize health while offering reasonable flexibility whenever possible. -Ideal Candidate and Pay- Infant or toddler experience Comfortable with light household help Calm, dependable, and proactive Comfortable with a parent working from home CPR/First Aid certified (or willing) References available Pay: $19–$25/hour, based on experience Paid trial period. Long-term opportunity.Nanny job details
