About the Role: We are seeking a proactive, organized, and energetic Nanny/Family Assistant to join our household during the weekday evenings. This role is a blend of specialized childcare and household support. We are looking for someone who can jump in with a "no task is too small" attitude, balancing engaging care for our son with keeping our home running smoothly (meal prep, tidying, and laundry). About Our Child: You will be caring for our cheerful, curious, and affectionate son who is almost 4 years old. He is a very social child who loves toy cars, music, books, and spending time outdoors. Specific Needs: Our son has motor and cognitive developmental delays; he is currently non-verbal and not yet walking. He weighs approximately 35 lbs and requires carrying/lifting to be transferred between areas of the house. Ideal Match: We are looking for someone patient and physically capable who can support his mobility needs while engaging him in intentional, educational play. Key Responsibilities: Childcare & Engagement: Conduct intentional, educational playtime ( sensory play) rather than passive supervision. Manage the evening routine: diaper changes, dinner feeding/supervision, walking practice, playtime. Physically transfer the child between play areas, high chair, etc. Family Support & Household Management: Meal Prep: Preparing dinner for the child and assisting with family meal prep while parents care for the child (chopping, prepping ingredients, light cooking). Cleaning: Washing bottles and meal items, general kitchen cleanup. Laundry & Organization: Handling family laundry and keeping the toddler’s play areas organized and sanitized. Proactive Tidying: Maintaining cleanliness in common areas without needing specific direction. Candidate Qualifications: Physical Ability: Must be comfortable and physically able to frequently lift and carry a child weighing 35+ lbs. Organizational Skills: High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities Self-Starter: Ability to see what needs to be done (tidying, organizing) awithout constant direction. Experience: Previous experience with toddlers is required; experience with special needs (non-verbal/mobility delays) is a major plus. Attitude: Positive energy, patience, and a genuine love for engaging with children.
