About this nanny job
We’re an SF-based family looking for a fluent Mandarin tutor to help our curious 5-year-old reconnect with Mandarin through full-immersion, play-based learning. He spent 1.5 years in a Mandarin-immersion daycare, remembers his tones, and is excited to jump back in. Sessions will be in our Potrero Hill home on Tuesdays for 1–1.5 hours between 3–5pm, with the option to add Thursdays starting this summer. We’re hoping to find someone who has experience teaching five-year-olds and brings patience, warmth, fun, and structure to each lesson. The focus will be on listening and speaking first, with reading and writing introduced when he’s ready. Experience in early childhood education and familiarity with mild ADHD or ASD is a plus.
