About this nanny job

Position available for after school child care and light housework for a cheerful, loving 9 year old in East Arlington. The position includes school pick up, snack/meal prep and clean up, child laundry and tidying, supporting social and academic development (e.g., playing number heavy board games), and taking her to after school activities (music, dance, PT/OT). Our child has epilepsy and a mild disability, so you must be comfortable administering nasal spray rescue meds and supporting PT/OT (we provide training). Having a license is required; having your own vehicle is a big plus. We need someone Tuesday-Friday, but the exact hours are negotiable. At a minimum we need from school pick up (1pm on Wednesday, 2:30pm on all other days) until 5:30pm, totaling 13.5 hours with potential for staying until 6 some days and/or coming in before school is out for focused housework time for additional hours. The position is year round, including summer and school vacations, with potential for additional hours during school vacations, but those are never required. Pay is $25-30/hour commensurate with experience (payroll handled through a third party to manage deductions and taxes). We provide 3 weeks of PTO (prorated to typical schedule), paid federal holidays, and pay for typically scheduled child care that we don’t need (usually one week in the summer). Note: we have two cats.
