Hello! I'm Stephanie, a makeup artist located in Greenpoint right by the Nassau G (the Manhattan and Norman exit, specifically). I need two childcare providers, one for the morning and one for after-school, (more details below). I have two girls, ages 8 and 5.5. They're both very silly, imaginative, opinionated kids, who love to draw, paint, play with their dolls, build forts, and "help" me cook. Our household is LGBTQ+ friendly, we see Color, and we are fairly religion-free, but we respect all religions and religious practices. My kids and I only speak English, unfortunately, but we all love learning words and phrases from other languages, (I took Spanish lessons for a full year and my ADHD brain just couldn't retain it all 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I still use the bit I know as regularly as I can). Speaking of, my 8-year-old has been diagnosed with fairly severe ADHD, is on the autism spectrum, and her greatest challenge is getting her writing homework done and putting her shoes away. Neither have any allergies or dietary restrictions. They both go to school full-time at PS34, which is about two blocks from our building. The end date of the job is tentative, but I need childcare from the end of this month (January 2026) until mid-May 2026. I work very long hours every weekday and need one childcare provider who can be at my place when I have to leave for work, (it will often be around 4:30-5am) and get the kids up, dressed, teeth and hair brushed, and walk them to school before 8:15am. I also need another care provider who can pick them up from school between 2:25 and 2:35pm, bring them home, and take care of them until I get home, (which I will never know for sure, but it will likely be around 10pm). Basic after-school care will require homework help, feeding them dinner, and bedtime. The morning care provider and the after-school care provider can be the same person if someone nearby is interested in doing both. I also have two short-hair black cats, but they won't require any attention from a child-care provider, no matter how much they may protest.
