I have 2 years of nannying experience. I have cared for kids ages 5 months to 9 years old. My responsibilities nannying have included transportation, cleaning, cooking, and helping with homework. With nannying I have found a love for encouraging playing, learning, and exploring curiosity. My primary experience working with kids comes from coaching gymnastics. Hi! My name’s Izzy and this is my first time using an app to be a caregiver! I am a Registered Nurse with Swedish Medical and have been nursing for over 5 years. I work primarily with the geriatric population and am ACLS/CPR certified, but completed a semester of pediatric nursing and did have my PALS certification (now expired). Growing up I babysat intermittently for over a decade (2 y.o. to 12 y.o.), ran summer camps through my local church (school age children), and nannied (3 y.o. and 6 y.o.) for two summers. I am comfortable around all animals and have always owned a dog, am knowledgeable in caring for them, as well as administering medications to them if needed. Hello! My name is Karen and don't worry I am a nice Karen . I am originally from Indiana but needed a change after retiring from teaching and moved here to continue working for Levy Restaurants and enjoy living by Lake Michigan . After college, I was a live in nanny for 2 families. The first family lived in New York city, and the second family lived in Hollywood, California. The last 30 years I have dedicated myself to teaching children. First, I was an Assistant Director of a child care center that was located in High School for staff and teen parents for 5 years, Next, I was a Developmental Therapist and did home visits for children birth to age 3 who had developmental delays and did parent education as well for 6 years. Then, I taught Kindergarten for 17 years and retired on May 27, 2021. Lastly, I have worked at Notre Dame University for the past 9 years and Wrigley field for 4 years which helped supplement my teaching income while my 2 boys were in college. I enjoy spending time with my 3 year old grandson and bringing him to the city to enjoy all of the playgrounds , museums , and bookstores . I am a big believer in children learning through play, reading to kids, and encouraging children to love the outdoors . I do go back to Indiana to visit my grandson and work at Notre Dame often so just looking for part time jobs . I am happy to do some cleaning and walking dogs too .
