Hi! I’m taking time off from studying behavioral and cognitive neuroscience at UCSD and looking for occasional work. I started volunteering at a daycare that my high school had and fell in love with it. I found kids energy, excitement for life, curiosity, and imagination to be contagious. I am a caring, compassionate, patient person which makes it easy for me to interact with kids. After babysitting for over 5 years and working with different families I have gained experience with kids of all ages. I have CPR training, am fully vaccinated and also had my booster shot.

My name is Ashley, I been a nanny for 20+ years age ranging from newborn to age 18. Nurturing children through various stages of development and managing household responsibilities. I have experience working with 4 children at a time ranging from infant to teenager. Managing both newborns and toddlers simultaneously can be demanding but manageable with some planning. I can involve the toddlers in gentle activities that won't disturb the newborn, such as coloring, building blocks, or playing with soft toys. While the toddlers are occupied, I can attend to the newborn's needs, such as feeding, changing diapers, or putting them down for a nap. It's all about finding a balance between meeting the needs of both age groups while ensuring their safety and well-being. I find joy in understanding children and what brings them happiness. I am a responsible and caring individual. In college I studied early child development, nutrition and prerequisites for nursing. In the past, I worked in a home daycare with my aunt, that she owned. The age group ranged from 6 months to 5 years old to prepare them for kindergarten. I am CPR, first aid and AED certified. I work at a daycare and assist as a one to one support. I am currently a Behavioral Technician and use my ABA therapy skills at home visits. I learned the skills to teach children everyday life skills so they can be independent. I babysit my nieces and nephews when my family needs help. I have experience with infants from newborns- children up to 15 years old. I love being around children they are so funny and sweet. I enjoy going on walks and parks with kids so they can enjoy the outdoors. I love to play board games and cards. I am currently a nanny on Saturdays for the first kiddo I accepted on this app. I have now been with the family for 1 year. I love to be outdoors, hiking and camping.
