Hi! I’m Liza. I’m based in DC and have spent the last 12+ years working with kids in a variety of settings. I worked as a preschool teacher at a nature-based school in college, spent the pandemic as a special education substitute teacher for 1st–5th grade, was the activities coordinator of a nature center, and have been a counselor at a several different types of camps. Even though my current career brought me in a different direction, I’m comfortable with kids of all ages and animals of all sizes. I pride myself on bring a calm, attentive, and fun approach to caregiving and education. I’m CPR and first aid certified and happy to provide references from both families and school settings. I’d love to connect and help out for a date night or as an after school sitter!

Hello! I am in my fourth year of teaching as a 1st grade teacher. I have nearly ten years of experience nannying/babysitting for children ages newborn-13 years old. I have always loved working with children-- I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's of teaching from the University of Virginia.

As a former educator who has worked with children ages 8 to 14 (and younger!), I bring a caring and professional touch to every family I work with. My teaching background means I genuinely understand how kids grow and learn, I know how to keep them engaged and having fun, and I stay calm and patient no matter what the day brings. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, which I love because it lets me connect with even more children and families in a meaningful way. I'm also a total animal lover! I have a cat at home and have happily looked after friends' pets many times, including some with special medical needs, so families with fur babies are very welcome. Hi! I just graduated nursing school from the University of South Caroline in December of 2022. I am living at home for a few months before I move down to Charleston, SC this spring to start a job on a cardiac floor at MUSC. I have worked with children of all ages and capabilities since I was in middle school. I have always loved caring for children, so I hope to one day work in a NICU or pediatric unit! I am fully vaccinated & boosted, and am happy to show proof. I have my own car and would be happy to drive your children to any activities!
