Hi! I’m Liza. I’m based in DC and have spent the last 12+ years working with kids in a variety of settings. I worked as a preschool teacher at a nature-based school in college, spent the pandemic as a special education substitute teacher for 1st–5th grade, was the activities coordinator of a nature center, and have been a counselor at a several different types of camps. Even though my current career brought me in a different direction, I’m comfortable with kids of all ages and animals of all sizes. I pride myself on bring a calm, attentive, and fun approach to caregiving and education. I’m CPR and first aid certified and happy to provide references from both families and school settings. I’d love to connect and help out for a date night or as an after school sitter!

I've been babysitting for 8 years and have worked in education related childcare for the past 3 years, including with children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and/or autism. Hello! My name is Abigail and I am currently a full-time undergraduate student at American University. I will graduate in May 2026 with a degree in Justice and Law and a minor in Spanish language. I have experience working with children of all ages. I've worked as an au pair overseas with a child with autism and down syndrome. I've also been an au pair for an infant so I am comfortable with babies as well. I worked for some years at a martial arts school assisting children ages 4-17. I have tutored a class before and am comfortable with any school work assistance needed. I know CPR and was previously certified. And I am fluent in Spanish. As for pet care, I've had all sorts of animals my entire life and would love to watch any pet you have with the upmost care.
