Job Summary The Nanny/ Personal Assistant manages the care of children, keeps them safe and clean, plans meals for them, and organizes creative and educational activities based on their age. Occasionally, you’ll need to pick them up from school or other extracurricular activities. (Schedule will be from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm, from Monday through Friday) Duties · Organize creative activities and educational games (e.g. drawing, crafting and puppet games) • Prepare children’s meals and feed them (including bottle-feeding for babies) • Change diapers and bathe infants • Help older children wash up and take baths • Schedule nap times • Teach children appropriate social behaviors, such as being respectful to each other and helping with chores • Transport children to and from school and extracurricular activities • Tidy up play areas and children’s rooms • Assist young students with homework • Ensure children’s safety during indoors and outdoors activities • Take care of children in case of injury or illness • Perform housekeeping tasks as needed • Work with parents to ensure children’s growth and social development. · Perform other duties as assigned. Skills · Previous experience as a Nanny or childcare provider · Ability to create a safe and nurturing environment for the children • Excellent understanding of child development in different age stages • Ability to come up with creative ideas to educate and engage children • Multitasking skills and prioritizing responsibilities • A pleasant and patient personality • Availability to work in shifts, during weekends, in the evenings, and • First aid certification desired Experience · Must be over 18 years old · High School Diploma · 1-3 years of experience supporting children · Must have a valid in-state driver’s license. Physical/Work Requirements: · On-site five days a week and Weekends as needed · Prolonged periods of lifting and moving around. · Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Working Conditions: The nanny will work in the family's home, which may include some light housekeeping duties related to the children. The nanny may be required to work evenings and weekends and may occasionally travel with the family. The nanny will be expected to adhere to the family's rules and routines and to maintain a professional and respectful relationship with the family.
