Windsor Square family with 8mo daughter and small, hypoallergenic senior dog looking for a reliable, experienced part-time nanny to grow with us over the long term. About us! Our daughter has a very gentle, easygoing temperament. She is generally happy, curious, and calm, and tends to cry only when she truly needs something. She is on a consistent routine and is an excellent sleeper for her age — she falls asleep independently for her naps and will typically sleep 2+ hours while the nanny will be with her (approx 9-11am, 12:30-2pm). About you! We are looking for a career nanny who genuinely loves childcare and has significant experience with infants (and ideally toddlers and school-age children, as well). A background in early childhood development and/or many years of hands-on experience is highly preferred. We value mutual respect, clear communication and a collaborative relationship. We want someone who is genuinely invested in caring for our daughter as she grows. Safety is very important to us. Candidates must be fully vaccinated and hold a current Infant & Child CPR/First Aid certification from a recognized organization (Red Cross or AHA). We’re hoping to find someone who appreciates a steady, peaceful rhythm and enjoys nurturing a content, engaged baby. About the role: - Caring for our daughter during the day, including feeding bottles and solids, diapering, and putting her down for naps - Supporting her development through age-appropriate, educational and engaging play - Taking her out for walks and as she gets older trips to the park and other outings - Assisting with baby meal planning and prep as she continues solids - Maintaining a calm, nurturing environment and following a consistent routine - During downtime while the baby naps as time allows, light housekeeping such as tidying common areas, dishes, meal prep, taking out trash, laundry and organizing clothes and supplies The ideal candidate: - Has extensive experience caring for infants and young children and can provide 2-3 references - Is attentive to developmental milestones and enjoys supporting learning through play - Has a valid driver’s license and safe driving record - Speaks a second language (Spanish strongly preferred, but others welcome) - Is dependable, punctual, communicative and professional - Brings a warm, calm and patient presence to our home - Is looking for a long-term position with a family
