About this nanny job

We are looking for an experienced, kind nanny who is willing to also help around the house for our 5 and 7 year old kids. We live in Mountain View. Hours are Monday through Friday, approximately 7 AM - 10 AM (although we are flexible here). Must have prior experience with elementary aged kids. Rough weekday schedule: 7 AM - arrive, wake kids up, help get them ready for school (clothed, prep their breakfast, get their backpacks in order) 8 AM - walk both kids to school. Both kids' schools are 10-15 minute walk from our house. Some days, we will walk the kids ourselves, in which case you can start on daily household tasks below. 9 AM - complete daily household tasks, as needed (see below) 10 AM leave Responsibilities include: * load and unload dishwasher. Hand wash dishes as needed. * wipe down the counters and sweep kitchen floor. No deep cleaning is expected, as we have a weekly cleaner * tidy up and put away kids toys and arts & crafts in living room and dining room * make the bed in the master bedroom * wash, fold and put away kids laundry once per week * water house plants twice per week * bring in mail and drop off outgoing packages * light food prep for the family, eg washing, peeling and chopping veggies or fruit, following a simple recipe to bake or oatmeal. We want someone who will be an extension of our family -- when you see something that needs done, proactively do it. Must be willing to make a 12 month commitment. Must have good references.
