About this nanny job

We’re a young family in NYC looking for a consistent, reliable caregiver for our 4-month-old. This is a part-time, weekday role for ~4 hours/day, Monday–Friday, ideally 10:00am–2:00pm (some flexibility). We’re looking to start late January and need help for ~3 months (with potential to extend slightly longer). Role overview • Mom will typically be home — this is primarily a mother’s helper role, with the ability to take over care if mom needs to step out • Help with infant care: diapers, soothing, play/engagement, age-appropriate activities, and supporting nap time • Support feeding: we’re transitioning from breastfeeding to more bottles and plan to introduce solids soon • Ensure tummy time and active, attentive engagement (we have a bottle washer) Light tidying (very limited) • Basic pickup related to the baby (e.g., toys/area tidying) • No deep cleaning, no laundry, no trash runs, etc. Our home • Midtown East near 36th & 1st • Doorman / elevator building • We have a small, friendly 7 lb puppy — occasional help with a short walk is a plus (if needed) What we’re looking for • Infant experience (4-month stage) • Infant CPR certified • Vaccinated • Non-smoker • Great references (and comfortable sharing them) • Warm, calm demeanor; confident and proactive Compensation • Cash, rate negotiable based on experience and qualifications
