We’re a loving, easygoing family in the Shelter Ridge neighborhood of Mill Valley seeking a nanny for our 8-month-old daughter, our first child. She’s a very happy, easy baby: everyone comments on how joyful she is. We’re looking to start with 4 weekdays, ideally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (skipping Wednesdays), though we’re open to skipping Fridays instead if it’s the right fit. This would total approximately 32–40 hours per week (initially starting on the low end but likely increasing to the higher end in the months ahead). We’re planning for this role to last about one year, with the possibility of extending beyond that. We’re hoping to find a nanny who is warm, affectionate, and a great match for our daughter’s happy energy. It’s important to us that there is no screen time, and that our daughter gets a balance of loving attention and encouragement for independent play. Grandma lives very close by and will help on the weekday you are not nannying (either Wednesday, or less ideally Friday). We’re both outdoorsy, calm, and value mindfulness and meditation, and we care about cultivating a positive, warm energy in our home. We live in the Shelter Ridge community with access to the pool/kiddy-pool and lots of natural beauty outside. We also have a cat so are looking for someone who's cat-friendly.
