We're looking for a full time nanny for our 6-month old son, and some occasional care for our 3.5 year old. Ideally, someone that can stay with our family for the next couple years til the baby starts preschool. About Us: We live in Noe Valley. Mom and Dad both work full time. We trust our nanny to take great care of our kids while we're working, and want you to set the daily routine and schedule for the baby. We do a lot of activities with the kids we we aren't working (e.g. zoo, pool, parks, riding the train) and we enjoy travel as a family. Our kids are fun, creative and energetic. Our preschooler speaks Spanish and English. What We’re Looking For: Someone warm, active, and playful with prior infant and toddler experience and strong references. We value getting outside daily, following baby’s cues, and creating a calm rhythm to the day. As the baby gets older, we will want you to hold boundaries, encourage good manners and help them learn to cope with the big feelings toddlers have! Spanish-speaking is preferred (with some English to communicate with us). CPR and First Aid certified, up-to-date vaccinations (e.g. flu, Tdap, and COVID-19), and non-smoker. We have a sweet older dog, so comfort around dogs is important but we’re not expecting you to do any pet care. Responsibilities: - Provide loving, attentive care for the baby: feeding, diaper changes, naps, and play - Support developmental milestones with age-appropriate activities - Daily outdoor time (walks, parks, library, rec center) - Light household support: kid meals/lunches, kids' laundry, tidying kids' spaces and common areas, dishwasher We'd like to find a nanny that is comfortable taking care of both children (6-month old baby + 3.5 year old). Our preschooler goes to preschool full time (8-5) but we'd ask you to pick him up some evenings (can walk from our house). In the fall, he will start TK and then we may want you to care for both children every afternoon. Two-child rate will apply whenever both kids are in your care.
