About this nanny job

We're a fun-loving family with three boys, ages 3 months, 3, and 5, seeking a nanny to join our team on a temporary basis while one of our nannies is on maternity leave, mid-March through mid-June. Schedule: 30-40 hours per week, afternoons between noon and 8 PM. Exact hours will be coordinated weekly based on mutual availability and family needs, with the possibility of additional hours communicated in advance. You'll work closely with our family and our two other nannies, who follow a live-in rotation schedule (one week on, one week off). Your primary role is to support the on-duty nanny, who takes the lead on the day-to-day flow and routines. We're looking for someone who's comfortable being a strong #2—taking direction, anticipating needs, and jumping in wherever help is needed. Our older boys love exploring the city and attend school on weekday mornings; our youngest is focused on sleeping and eating. Responsibilities include: - Driving the boys to and from school and activities - Planning and leading enriching outings—museums, parks, the zoo— and imaginative play at home - Preparing children's meals and snacks - Light tidying: the boys' laundry and sheets, post-meal cleanup, and organizing play areas (we have a full-time housekeeper) - Running errands: dry cleaning, grocery shopping, mailing packages - Helping with our dog, including feeding and walks We're looking for someone positive, energetic, patient, and excited to collaborate as part of a team. Requirements: Valid driver's license and up-to-date vaccinations. Compensation: Based on experience. Because this is a temporary position, you'll be paid directly and responsible for reporting your own earnings. There is potential for the role to convert to a permanent position, at which point you'd transition to our household payroll.
