Job Description We are a family in Austin (78735) seeking an experienced postpartum doula or newborn care specialist to support our 9-week-old daughter. This is a short-term, premium role focused on confident solo infant care so mom can rest, exercise, or step out knowing her baby is in excellent hands. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00–8:00pm (5 hours/day), starting ASAP through mid-April. Guaranteed hours. Primary Responsibilities: Provide full newborn care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, naps, and safe sleep Confidently manage afternoon/evening “fussy” periods Follow family preferences and communicate clearly during handoffs Light baby-related reset (washing bottles/pump parts, baby laundry, tidying nursery) Not required: heavy housekeeping, cooking, errands, or overnight care. Ideal Candidate: Significant experience caring for infants aged 0–3 months Calm, capable, and comfortable providing solo newborn care Infant CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) Strong references and willing to complete a background check Professional, reliable, and respectful of family boundaries Hiring Process: Brief video interview Paid in-person trial shift prior to final agreement We offer competitive premium pay for an exceptional caregiver and value a professional, respectful, and communicative working relationship.
