About this nanny job

We are looking for highly reliable, punctual, trustworthy part time help with evening transportation for our 10 year old daughter (at a minimum from 7pm - 9pm M, T, Th and hopefully Friday to transport from her swim training in DUMBO to home in Red Hook, BK). If more hours are desired, we are happy to add Wednesdays 3pm-9pm (for transport from school to her pre-professional dance training in midtown Manhattan, to basketball practice in Park Slope and then home). We can also add hours to achieve up to 20 hours per week. The full scope of what we are open to is below depending on your preference / availability. Please let me if any combination of this sounds interesting: We are seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Part-Time Family Assistant to support weekday family logistics in our home. This role focuses on transportation for our older child, household coordination, light errands, and pet care. We have two children and a full-time nanny who has primary responsibility for the care and scheduling of our 4-year-old; this role will work in close coordination with the nanny. We also have a housekeeper who comes twice per week. This position is well-suited for someone comfortable working in a multi-level townhouse environment and coordinating seamlessly with existing household staff. Key Responsibilities Child Transportation & Coordination • Safely transport our 10-year-old child to and/or from after-school activities during the week (license and comfort driving our car a plus) • Coordinate schedules and handoffs with the family’s full-time nanny as needed • Navigate Brooklyn/NYC traffic efficiently; plan routes and timing proactively • Communicate clearly regarding schedules, delays, or changes Household & Errands Support: Run household errands, including returns/exchanges, pharmacy and grocery runs, and miscellaneous tasks • Manage household deliveries (receiving packages, bringing them inside, coordinating drop-offs) • Take out household trash and recycling twice per week • Provide light household support and logistical assistance as needed Pet Care: Walk the family dog Work Environment: Multi-level townhouse with stairs; comfort moving between floors and carrying light items is required Qualifications & Requirements • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required) • Comfortable driving children locally in NYC/Brooklyn • Prior experience as a family assistant, nanny, household assistant, or similar role
