About this nanny job

Hello! My name is Rachel and my husband and I are looking for a nanny to care for our two boys for 5 hours every Sunday. We are thinking around 9am-2pm. But we can be flexible and try to align to when the nanny is available.

Our boys are 12 months old and almost 3 years old. They are sweet and playful. We are looking for someone loving, responsible, nurturing, trustworthy, and fun. Our family loves to laugh! We consider our children’s childcare providers to be a part of our family. We value open communication and kindness. We live in the Piedmont Pines neighborhood of Oakland, near Montclair. There is easy parking on our street. We have a flat backyard. We are hoping to find someone who is open to a one year commitment, with the opportunity to continue even longer-term. We pay competitively. Please tell us your rate and about your experience. 

Job requirements: • Experience with babies and toddlers and familiar with developmental milestones and age appropriate activities • Ability to drive, has a car, clean driving record • Non smoker • up to date with vaccines • up to date with CPR and first aid certifications • ability to provide 3-4 references • Comfortable taking the kids out to park, etc. • comfortable putting them down for naps, feeding meals and snacks that will be provided • Tidying the kids play area, cleaning up after them after they eat. Potentially open to doing light meal prep for the family when kids are napping (if time allows) • open communication Clear background check (trust line certified a plus) • Spanish speaking is a plus!
