Hi, I’m Sarah with Allies for Allies (an approved UrbanSitter Partner), and we’re assisting a thoughtful San Francisco family seeking a consistent after-school mentor/companion for their independent, laid-back 17-year-old autistic teen. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful connections with teens and supporting growing independence. Schedule: -Monday: 4:00–6:00pm -Tuesday: 4:00–6:00pm -Wednesday: 2:30–6:00pm -Additional evening/weekend hours possible About Him: He’s thoughtful, creative, and easygoing. He loves: -Music -Designing skyscrapers with Legos -Reading -Basketball -Hikes -Animals (family has a dog and two cats) He benefits from gentle structure, support navigating social boundaries, and guidance around safe decision-making. Responsibilities: -After-school supervision and companionship -Community outings (museums, boba runs, pizza outings, mall trips, hikes) -Driving to activities (SF, Pacifica, San Rafael, East Bay) -Supporting internet safety and social awareness -Occasional homework support (Algebra level) Ideal Candidate: We’re looking for someone who is: -Warm, patient, and grounded -Comfortable supporting a teen with anxiety and ADHD/autism -Confident setting clear, respectful boundaries -Reliable and consistent +Experience in education, therapy, special education, psychology, or neurodiversity support is a plus — but the right personality and maturity matter most. +Must have a reliable car and clean driving record.
