About this nanny job

We are seeking a reliable, experienced nanny to care for our baby (approximately 6 months old) in our home. One parent works from home and will be present but focused during work hours. Schedule: • ~5 hours per day, 2-3 days per week • Days are flexible but must be consistent week-to-week • Start date: late April • Potential for occasional extra hours if mutually agreeable Responsibilities: Your primary focus will be attentive, developmentally appropriate care for our infant, including: • Bottle feeding • Diaper changes and basic hygiene • Putting baby down for naps • Engaging in age-appropriate play (reading, singing, tummy time, sensory play) • Maintaining a safe, calm environment • Light baby-related tidying (washing bottles, cleaning play areas) We also have a friendly Labrador retriever, so comfort with dogs is important. Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who is: • Experienced caring for infants under 1 year • Warm, patient, and attentive • Reliable and punctual • Comfortable working in a home where a parent is present • Non-smoker • Comfortable around dogs • Able to provide references from prior childcare roles Preferred Qualifications: • Infant CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) • Prior nanny experience with infants • Background in early childhood education or newborn care (a plus) • Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap recommended) Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
