Seeking an Infant Caregiver – Noe Valley (4 days/week, 36 hrs) We’re seeking a thoughtful, highly engaged caregiver for one-to-one care of our 4-month-old daughter in our Noe Valley home who is experienced with child development. Schedule: 4 days/week, 9 hours/day (36 hours total) April 7-May 22, potentially longer Both parents work fully remote About our family: We value developmental understanding, responsiveness, and open communication. We’re looking for a caregiver who enjoys thinking deeply about infant development and collaborating with parents who are engaged and respectful of professional expertise. While we work from home, we want the caregiver to feel empowered and fully in charge during working hours. We see this as a partnership and are open to learning from the right person. Our daughter is an active, curious baby who has consolidated most of her sleep to nighttime. Daytime naps are variable and often involve contact naps. We’re looking for someone energetic and developmentally engaged who is comfortable supporting tummy time, rolling, floor play, books, walks, and exploration throughout the day. We follow a baby-led approach to feeding and sleep and support skills based on readiness rather than rigid timelines. Comfort collaborating around evolving routines is important. We’re especially interested in someone who: Has a strong understanding of infant development (formal training or equivalent depth of experience) Can articulate the “why” behind their caregiving approach Enjoys autonomy while partnering thoughtfully with parents Is comfortable tracking sleep, diapers, and feeds via an app and communicating clearly Respects and adapts to an individual family’s home environment and values Requirements: Substantial experience with young infants Up-to-date vaccines Infant/child CPR certification Strong local references If this resonates, please share a brief note about your infant experience and your approach to developmentally responsive care.
