Language-Immersion Caregiver (Chinese and/or Spanish) – Play-Based Learning Environment We are seeking a warm, engaging, and reliable caregiver who can help introduce our young children to Chinese and/or Spanish through natural play, conversation, and everyday interaction. Our goal is language exposure through joyful, child-led experiences, rather than formal instruction. We believe young children learn best through connection, creativity, and consistent communication woven into daily routines. The ideal candidate will comfortably incorporate a second language into activities such as: • Playtime and imaginative games • Reading books and storytelling • Music, singing, and movement • Arts and crafts • Simple conversational phrases used consistently throughout the day We are looking for someone who understands early childhood development and can create a fun, nurturing, and language-rich environment where children naturally associate language learning with positive experiences. Schedule & Flexibility: Days and times are extremely flexible. We are primarily looking for support sometime between 9:00 AM–12:00/1:00 PM, but sessions do not need to be the full 3–4 hours. Visits may be as short as 1–2 hours at a time, depending on availability and fit. There may also be occasional opportunities for evening interaction between 6:00–7:00 PM. We are happy to work collaboratively to create a schedule that works well for everyone. Responsibilities include: • Engaging children through play-based learning and conversation • Speaking primarily in Chinese or Spanish during interaction times • Encouraging vocabulary development through repetition and context • Supporting social, emotional, and creative development • Maintaining a safe and respectful play environment • Communicating regularly with parents about activities and progress Ideal qualifications: • Native or fluent speaker of Chinese and/or Spanish • Experience working with toddlers or young children • Patient, energetic, and playful personality • Background in education, childcare, or early childhood development is a plus We hope to foster curiosity, cultural appreciation, and early language familiarity in a supportive home environment where learning happens naturally through connection and play.
