About this nanny job
We’re looking for a part‑time nanny to care for our two sons (ages 5 and 7) after school on weekdays, with occasional weekend hours. Weekday duties include driving to pick up the children using the parents’ car from school and after school activities. We’d like to begin by Spring Break (March 16–20), caring primarily for our 7yo, as our 5yo will be in camp. Mon: 2:30PM – 5:30PM (~3 hrs) •Arrive 2:30PM at house to begin shift •Leave to pick up 5yo between 2:30 – 2:40PM from Montessori school (no later than 3PM!) •Drive 5yo home and prepare and provide a light healthy afternoon snack for both children (7yo is home by then) •Leave at 3:30PM to drive to 5yo’s jujitsu practice that (starts 4PM –4:45PM) •7yo will do his homework during 5yo’s practice (min. 20mins reading out loud and offer assistance, if needed) •Drive children home at 4:45PM •Supervise children at home until dinner is ready between 5 and 5:30PM (dinner prepared by parents) •Wash children’s lunch supplies and water bottles •Shift ends ~5:30PM Tues & Thurs: 3:30PM – 5:30PM (~4 hrs) •Arrive 3:30PM at house to begin shift •Leave to pick up 5yo (no later than 4PM!) •Drive 5yo home and prepare snack for both children •Supervise children at home until dinner is ready •Wash children’s lunch supplies/water bottles •Shift ends ~5:30PM Weds: 2:30PM – 5:30PM (~3 hrs) •Arrive 2:30PM at house to begin shift •Leave to pick up 5yo (no later than 3PM!) •Drive 5yo home and prepare snack •Leave at 3:30PM to drive to 5yo’s jujitsu practice (starts 4PM –4:45PM) •Drive 5yo home at 4:45PM •Supervise children at home until dinner is ready •Wash children’s lunch supplies/water bottles •Shift ends ~5:30PM Fri: 2:30PM – 5:30PM (~3 hrs) •Arrive 2:30PM at house to begin shift •Leave to pick up 5yo (no later than 3PM!) •Drive 5yo home and prepare and provide snack for both children •Ensure 6yo completes his homework before dinner (min. 20 mins reading out loud and offer assistance, if needed) •Supervise children at home until dinner is ready •Wash children’s lunch supplies/water bottles •Shift ends ~5:30P Sat & Sun: Some weekends are avail to the nanny Nanny Expectations: •Excellent driving skills – our car will be used for driving our children •Proper language use – besides the obvious avoidance of crude language we are looking for a nanny that can role model proper and polite English that avoids excessive slang and filler/misused word •No screens on duty (except for nav or call/text parents, or in an emergencyNanny job details
