About this nanny job

I am seeking a reliable, responsible, and punctual after-school caregiver for my elementary-aged son in Springfield, NJ. Schedule (School Year): Wednesdays and Thursdays from approximately 2:45 PM (school pickup) until 8:00–8:15 PM. Occasional alternating Fridays may be needed. Some half-days (12:25 PM pickup) may occur during the school year. This is a consistent, long-term position through the end of the school year and potentially into the summer (expanded hours possible). Responsibilities include: • On-time school pickup (must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle) • Providing a snack after school • Assisting with homework and keeping him focused • Light meal preparation for dinner • Occasional transportation to local activities (e.g., jiu-jitsu) • Engaging with him in a positive, structured way (board games, reading, outdoor play, etc.) This is not a passive babysitting position. I am looking for someone who is attentive, interactive, and comfortable providing structure and guidance — not someone who relies on screens for entertainment. Requirements: • Non-smoker • Dependable and consistently punctual • Prior childcare experience (elementary age preferred) • Comfortable with light meal prep • Clean driving record • References required I am looking for someone warm, mature, and dependable who understands the importance of consistency and communication.
