About this nanny job

We live in in the Marina and are looking for a full-time nanny/family assistant (Monday–Friday) for our daughter, born November 2025. Our ideal start date is mid April to early May. We both work demanding jobs but prioritize time with family and friends as much as possible - we often have friends or grandparents visiting. We try to maintain a peaceful space at home to enjoy as much as we can. We're hoping to find someone who can become another part of our family and stay with us long term. We have a 5 year old cat named Pretzel, he's slow to warm up but very friendly. Our parenting style is warm and responsive — we're still finding our footing as new parents and would love someone who can grow with us, share what they're noticing, and help us understand what to expect as our daughter develops. We'd ideally love to work with someone with extensive infant experience who can help us navigate these early years. What we're looking for is someone experienced with young infants who is proactive, organized, and genuinely engaged. Beyond baby care, this role includes light household tasks during naps, occasional cooking and some errands — mostly walkable, but occasional short trips for things like a children's museum. Driving is a plus but not a dealbreaker for the right person. Our parents are in town regularly and enjoy time with our baby - we'd like to find someone who is willing to pivot to more household tasks when family is in town to give the grandparents their bonding time. Our ideal candidate: - Has hands-on experience with infants under 6 months - Is CPR certified (or willing to become certified) - Is a non-smoker with no cat allergies - Communicates directly and proactively — we'd love a few updates through the day - Enjoys cooking simple meals and comfortable with grocery ordering - Is organized and punctual - Willing to take on household tasks as time allows (we will have separate cleaners!)
