Single mom in the military raising one energetic and curious 3-year-old neurodivergent boy who loves art, music, and the outdoors. He enjoys hands-on activities and thrives with patient, nurturing caregivers who are engaging and calm. Role Summary Seeking a responsible, trustworthy, patient caregiver with experience working with neurodivergent children. This is an ad hoc babysitting role for March 9 – March 31, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Times may vary slightly but will never begin before 8 AM or extend past 4:30 PM unless discussed in advance. Responsibilities • Plan fun, hands-on indoor and outdoor activities • Encourage creativity through art, music, and play • Outings to the library, park, walks, and kid playdates (on base) • Attend weekly therapy appointments in Calverton, MD (approx. 2x/week or alternating appointments) • Help build independence and motor skills through daily activities (clean up, simple cooking help, etc.) • Prepare light meals and snacks • Maintain limited to no screen time Occasional outings to indoor playgrounds or DC museums may occur (costs covered). Non-Negotiables & Preferences • Experience with neurodivergent children • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record • No criminal record • Must be able to access a military base • Calm, patient demeanor while still energetic and engaging Compensation & Benefits • $20–$25/hour depending on experience • CPR/First Aid training available at no cost if needed • All approved outing costs covered Closing Looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and can help create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where my son can learn, explore, and grow.
