We are seeking a proactive Family Assistant to manage the after-school schedules of our three children. This role involves full ownership of transportation and preparation to ensure each child is where they need to be with everything they require. The Role: Transportation: Manage school pickups and driving to all after-school activities, practices, and appointments. Preparation: Ensure each child has the necessary equipment, uniforms, instruments, laptops, homework, and snacks before leaving. Nutrition: Coordinate snacks or simple meals before or after activities. Calendar Management: Own the family logistics calendar by tracking schedules and flagging conflicts or changes from schools, coaches, and teachers. Proactive Planning: Anticipate needs in advance (e.g., ensuring sports gear is ready the day before practice). Communication: Provide brief daily updates on pickups, schedule changes, and anything that needs attention. What This Is Not: This is not a traditional babysitting role. We need someone who takes genuine ownership of the children’s schedules from the moment of pickup until they are home and settled. Requirements: Reliability: Exceptional punctuality is essential. Demeanor: Calm, organized, and effective with children without needing to provide entertainment. Initiative: A problem-solver who anticipates issues before they arise. Safety: A criminal background check and driving record verification are required prior to starting. Privacy: Respect for the family's privacy is expected and NDA will be requested Schedule: 3-4 weekday afternoons weekly, approximately 2:30 PM – 7 PM. Weekends occasionally but will be scheduled ahead of time. We start with a paid 2-week trial period to ensure mutual fit. This position is ideal for someone with a flexible afternoon schedule who thrives on organization and logistics.
