About this nanny job

We are looking for a nanny to pick up our daughter from her Montessori school in Lynbrook, bring her home to St. Albans (15–20 minutes), give her dinner (premade meals to microwave or air‑fry), and begin her bedtime routine. Some days she has after‑school activities — swim class in Queens Village or yoga near her school — and you would simply supervise from the parent area. At home, you’d serve dinner, unpack her lunch bag, and check that her toddler formula is prepared. We use a Baby Brezza, so it’s just a button press; the prepared milk is mixed with hot water and Ripple milk. After dinner, you’d help with pajamas and brushing teeth, and read with her if I’m not home. We don’t use screens during the week except for her Tonie Box. Before leaving, you’d prep for the next day: water bottle, lunch bag, snack box, jacket, shoes, and emptying her backpack of any dirty clothes. I do her laundry every few weeks, and I’d need help folding it. You’d also wash her hair once a week. You’re paid daily from 3:30–7:00 p.m. Even if we get home early or my mom is visiting and you only work briefly, you’re still paid for the full 3.5 hours. If we ever need you later and you’re available, you’d be paid for the extra time. My husband has “daddy–daughter days” 1–3 times a month, and on those days you won’t need to work. Occasionally, if my mom is in town, I may ask for an early pickup (11–12); on those days there are no activities — just bringing her home, making lunch and milk, and heading out. Both my husband and I work in hospitals, so if you ever need to call out, please call — not text — as early as possible so we can arrange coverage. We’ll have a group chat for regular communication, but phone calls are best for anything urgent. CPR/First Aid training will be provided if needed. Reliable transportation required
