About this nanny job

Just a brief explanation of what we are looking for since the site isn’t too accommodating to putting in requests that don’t fit a set schedule. We are looking for care 1-2 times a week when our work schedules overlap. Gina, my wife, is an RN who works in the city; rotating 6 weeks on night shift/6 weeks on day shift. Her hours are 7-7, working 3 days a week. I (Jessica) am an aircraft mechanic at O’Hare and work nights 9:30pm-8am. Neither of us work set days so the days won’t necessarily be the same every week. We are looking for someone who would be able to watch our little girl (Talia) while we are at work, in our home. If Gina is on her night rotation we would need someone to work 8pm-8:30am (dependent on what shift I get). If she is on her dayshift rotation we would need someone from 4am-9am- (could be longer if it’s the weekend) Gina and I will both have our schedules in advance and can work with you for future scheduling if you might have conflicts. We both will be able to swap shifts with co-workers or rely on my parents for backup help as well. Talia is 2 years old and goes to bed between 7:30 and 8pm. Believe it or not, she sleeps pretty soundly through and wakes up around 6:45/7am. We have a full guest room and bathroom and if you need/want to sleep while she is sleeping- we have no problems with that. Talia is pretty good at letting us know when she’s up. Only time she currently wakes up in the middle of the night is when she is sick. We have 3 friendly cats, so hopefully you aren’t allergic!
