About this nanny job

We are looking for a recurring sitter for both our boys (9 mos/ 3 yrs) to provide one-on-one childcare in our home while we work/during "office hours." We are very hands-on parents but very laid back people. We value kindness and compassion above all and strive to make our home positive and warm. Our boys love to be outside and our neighborhood is great for morning or afternoon strolls; we also have lots of outdoor toys and a large playscape and water table in our fenced in backyard for fun summer days. We are also about a 2 min drive from a great little park/playground (could use our vehicle on remote work days.) Duties would be limited to true "sitter" duties w/ very little housekeeping. Both boys are on well-established nap schedules/routines. We are well setup for in-home care and looking for someone who not only handles basic needs (diapering/potty/feeding/naps) - but also will enjoy our boys and enjoy engaging in play with them. We would love to find someone who will continue to foster their love for books/reading and will read a few books a day with them (we have so many wonderful children's books to choose from!) - as well as will initiate and encourage a few interactive/enrichment activities per week (1-2). We would welcome crafts and activities and have a ready "interactive activities" box to select from and engage in with our 3 year old (play-doh, sticker books, chalkboards, markers, crayons/coloring, puzzles and very simple paper crafts, etc.,). Also, I remote work (2)-(3) days per week and am happy to provide back-up here and there on those days. (But you would not feel "watched" or micro-managed at all as that is not our style.) The only meal prep would be providing lunch to our 3 yr old and we are happy to provide simple options/suggestions to assist with lunch on the daily. Overall, we hope to find a reliable and trustworthy caretaker who will maintain a positive environment and help to nurture and care for our two VERY sweet, happy-go-lucky boys. Our home would be your home and our refrigerator/pantry would be open to you. Also, we have (2) indoor/outdoor cats - do not require any care except to be let in/out throughout the day as needed . Hours: 32-35 hrs/week (average) w/every other Friday off. Bi-lingual home so Spanish fluency is a huge plus but not required.
