Mother’s Helper / Household Support (Cooking + Light Childcare) I’m a working mom in San Leandro looking for a dependable and kind mother’s helper to support our day-to-day routine with my toddler. I mostly work from home and handle daycare drop-off and pick-up myself. My daughter is in daycare during the day, so this role is primarily for after-daycare support. This is not a traditional nanny position. I’ll typically be home and involved — I’m looking for an extra set of hands so I can be more present with my child, while having support with household needs. Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday: ~8-hour shift (starting around 12:00 or 1:00 PM) Some flexibility is appreciated, but consistency is important Primary responsibilities include: Meal prep and cooking (healthy, simple meals for the family, including prepping ahead for the week) Light housekeeping (tidying, dishes, kitchen reset, folding laundry — I have a regular cleaning service) Occasional help entertaining/engaging my toddler (play, simple activities, keeping her occupied while I rest or reset after work) Occasional outings (e.g., library, park, or classes — flexible based on comfort and schedule) Ideal candidate: Enjoys being around young children but is comfortable in a supportive (not lead caregiver) role Strong with cooking/meal prep and keeping a home running smoothly Calm, proactive, and intuitive about where help is needed Reliable and communicative Has a valid driver’s license I have a car available for outings if needed. A reliable personal vehicle is a plus for added flexibility.
