About this nanny job

We are seeking a reliable, experienced nanny to care for our son, who will soon be walking! He currently takes two 2-hour naps but will likely transition to one nap in the near future. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable spending most of the day at our home and within the neighborhood—enjoying outdoor play, walks, and eventually trips to the park. As new parents, building trust is very important to us, so we prefer that our nanny not drive with our son until a strong bond is established. During wake windows, responsibilities will include feedings, supporting fine motor development, and engaging in activities like playing, reading, and singing/dancing. While he naps, we’d appreciate help with light, baby-related tasks such as preparing homemade meals, organizing toys and clothes, disinfecting toys, and planning activities. We are absolutely okay with downtime during naps—relaxing, having lunch, watching TV, reading, or enjoying the patio. There may be occasional light household support (about 10%) that is not baby-related—such as vacuuming, mopping, or starting a simple crockpot meal—but our priority is always our son’s care over housekeeping. Once outings are introduced, we ask for location sharing and updates via group chat (photos encouraged!). We also want to be transparent that we have a home security system with cameras that may be checked periodically during the workday. We will be conducting a background check and ask for a valid driver’s license and three references. Above all, our son is a very happy, easygoing baby who truly brightens every day. We are a family that values and appreciates hard work, and we strive to make our nanny feel like part of our family. We’re happy to accommodate vacation time with 2–3 weeks’ notice (and will offer the same courtesy), and we also provide holiday bonuses and opportunities for additional hours (like date nights) if interested.
