About this nanny job

This position involves receiving my daughter off the school bus and caring for her in my home until I return. Responsibilities include engaging with her in a positive and supportive way, serving meals that are already prepared, and providing gentle guidance throughout the day. My daughter has developmental delays and will need consistent reminders and assistance with hygiene and personal care tasks, so patience, attentiveness, and a nurturing approach are very important. We do have two friendly dogs in the home; however, they may occasionally bark when someone is near the door. This is a part-time position during the school year, with the potential for extended hours during the summer (up to 9-hour days). For summer employment, you will need to be vetted through a sitter agency, which will handle direct payment. This may include both sitter hours and respite hours if you are a good fit for our family. There may also be occasional requests for additional days or weekends where care for my 7-year-old son will be needed as well. For care involving both children, the pay rate will be $30 per hour. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with children, especially those with developmental delays or special needs Patient, reliable, and attentive caregiver Comfortable assisting with hygiene and personal care CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) Comfortable around dogs Strong communication skills with both children and parents
