About this nanny job

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated full time nanny to provide attentive care for our 16 month old son. We are looking for someone who loves children, will actively play, teach, and engage our son throughout the day. We are a loving and close family living in Lafayette. We both work full-time jobs with variable work schedules. We prioritize providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for our son. We value teamwork with our nanny and their happiness in our household. Our son is a fun-loving, silly little guy who just started walking and talking. He loves cars, animals, books, balls, and music. Special considerations about him: going through separation anxiety, eczema, and food allergies. Job Responsibilities: - Engage our son in age appropriate activities that promote his physical, emotional, social, and mental development - Take him on outings in the area we agree upon in advance - Create a safe and caring environment for him - Prepare meals and snacks - be detailed oriented regarding his skincare and food allergies - Assist with child related housekeeping tasks such as tidying up his toys, cleaning up following meals, doing his laundry, washing his utensils and lunchbox - Regular diaper changes and skin care Requirements: - Prior childcare experience - Drivers license and willingness to drive with our son to activities in the area - Can create a safe and stimulating environment - CPR certification - Some schedule flexibility as our work schedules are variable week to week - Recommendation from prior family - Fully vaccinated (childhood vaccines and annual flu) - Some English Schedule: Approximately 40-50 hours a week Monday to Friday. Most days will be 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. One day a week 9:00AM to 7:00PM. Anticipated Start Date: May 4th Payment: $30-32 based on experience and skills. Paid vacation, holidays, and guaranteed hours. We are not looking for a passive caretaker who lets children play alone while they socialize.
