About this nanny job
We're a family in the Mission looking for a mother's helper to become a regular part of our weeknight routine — and hopefully a long-term fit. We have a toddler and a dog (no dog care needed, but you should be comfortable around dogs). Our current helper, who our son adores, is unfortunately moving out of the city, so we're hoping to find someone who can build that same kind of steady, caring relationship with him. What a typical evening looks like: You'd arrive around 5 PM and spend about two hours with us. A typical evening includes hanging out with our toddler while I cook dinner — reading books together, playing, or going to the playground nearby — as well as helping tidy up, folding laundry, and washing lunch boxes and bottles. Who we're hoping to find: Our toddler is a little shy at first and takes time to warm up to new people. The right person for this role is someone who's patient and intuitive with kids — who can read his cues, give him space when he needs it, and gently build trust at his pace. Beyond that, we really value someone who is punctual, communicative, and consistent. We're looking for someone who wants a long-term, steady gig and has patience, attentiveness, and a natural ease with young kids. Ideal, but not required: We'd also love someone who's open to the occasional date night when our schedules call for it. Support during the occasional sick day would be great. If this sounds like a good fit, we'd love to hear from you.Nanny job details
