We are looking for a reliable and responsible babysitter to care for our two children during the summer on weekdays for approximately 4 hours per day. Our family includes an 11-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl. Both kids are fairly independent, well-behaved, and able to entertain themselves for much of the day. The primary reason we are seeking care is that our son is not quite old enough to be left home alone for a full workday with his younger sister, so we are looking for someone to be present and provide supervision. The schedule would be weekday mornings through early afternoon. The children will already have eaten breakfast prior to your arrival, so no morning meal prep is required. For lunch, they are able to prepare simple meals themselves such as sandwiches or Lunchables, which we will provide. Your role would mainly be to supervise, assist if needed, and ensure everything stays safe and on track. Responsibilities would include: • General supervision of the children • Light assistance with lunch if needed • Encouraging a safe and positive environment • Minimal cleanup related to meals or activities There are no expectations for heavy housework, transportation, or structured activities unless you enjoy engaging with kids in that way. You would be able to leave around 1:00 PM, and we will be home shortly after that. We are looking for someone dependable, patient, and comfortable supervising slightly older children who require more oversight than hands-on care.
