About our family: We're a two-working-parent household in Washington, DC with an 18-month-old daughter named Norah. We're looking for a caring, experienced sitter who can be a consistent and trusted presence in her life across a few different situations. What we need 1. Backup sick-day care: Norah attends Montessori school, and when she's too sick to go in, we need someone who can come to our home on short notice. Both parents work jobs that require us to be present during the day, so having a reliable person we can call is essential. We'd want you to be comfortable with mild illness (runny noses, low-grade fevers) and experienced caring for toddlers. 2. Regular afternoon pickup & care: We may need help 3 days per week with pickup from daycare at 5:15 PM and care through 7:00 PM. 3. Occasional date nights: A few times a month, we'd love the option to have an evening to ourselves. Hours would typically be around 6–10 PM. What we're looking for: Someone who is warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys being with little ones. Experience with toddlers is a must. We value reliability above all, especially for sick-day coverage, where last-minute availability really matters.
