About this nanny job

I am returning to work from a 6 month maternity leave and we are looking for a full-time caregiver for our 2 1/2 year-old son and 6 month old baby girl. I am looking for someone with plenty of infant care experience, who also has experience with toddlers and doing age-appropriate, stimulating, and educational type play. As the mom, I work from home but need full-time help with engaging in play, sticking to each child’s schedule for feedings and naps, help with preparing meals and snacks (including bottles), and cleaning up after any child related messes - tidying all play areas, cleaning up after meals, and the kids laundry 1x per week. I will still be breast-feeding the baby so will be readily available to pop in and help with feedings and putting down for naps at different times throughout the day. Once we all get settled and comfortable with the new schedule (lots of change), I would love for you to be able to drive your car or drive my car to a local park, storytime at local libraries, and other fun activities. I don’t ascribe to a certain parenting style, but we love fostering independence for our toddler and see how he learns best through play. We’d love for someone with a lot of energy who can play outside, sing, dance, and engage in imaginative play with him. We thrive off schedule and routine but aren’t uptight about it. My returning to work will be a big transition for our family and I’m looking for someone reliable who can partner with us in making this transition a really positive experience for everyone. As of now, the 2.5 year old is not potty trained, so we will need someone who can help us with that when the time comes. As of now, the baby is not taking any solids, but will need someone who can help with introducing solids when the time comes. We are ultimately looking for a long time arrangement with someone who can feel like part of our family. The only reason I have the job opening posted until the end of the year is because we are considering sending the toddler to daycare in January part-time which may affect the contract terms/ hours. But we will definitely still need someone in 2027. Other things to know: We are a Christian family that sings and talks about Jesus in the home. No pets. We are doing a delayed schedule for vaccines. We are English speaking, but welcome any bilingual communication with the kids. Paid sick time and paid holidays will be included Open to discussing other contract requests for the right fit.
