About this nanny job
We are looking for a responsible, safety-conscious, and engaging nanny to care for our two children (ages 4 and 7) this summer. This is a full-time position focused on creating a fun, structured environment while managing the logistics of summer camps and daily activities in the Sun Valley/West End area of San Rafael. Position Details Location: San Rafael (Sun Valley/West End) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pay: $35 per hour, paid weekly Duration: Summer - June 1-August 21, 2026 (with an opportunity to transition into a part-time role during the school year if desired) Key Responsibilities Active Engagement: Planning and participating in age-appropriate activities that keep the kids active and learning. Transportation: Providing safe transport for children to and from summer camps and local activities using your own vehicle. Meal Prep: Preparing healthy lunches and snacks throughout the day. Light Tidying: Keeping play areas organized and cleaning up after meals and activities. Candidate Requirements Experience & Reliability: Must be highly dependable with a proven track record in childcare. Safety First: Must be CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to undergo training (that we will pay for) prior to the start date. Driving Credentials: Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record. References: Must provide a list of past professional references. Benefits Competitive Pay: Consistent weekly earnings at $35/hour. Paid Time Off: Paid holidays are included. Guaranteed Hours: If our family travels during the summer, you will still receive pay for those scheduled hours.
