Job Title: Mother’s Helper for 4-Month-Old (Part-Time, Flexible, Redwood City) Description: Hi! We’re looking for a warm, dependable, and proactive mother’s helper to support our family with our 4-month-old son. This is not a traditional babysitting role. Mom will usually be home, and the goal is to support her directly and make the day feel lighter and more manageable. That might look like holding or engaging our son while she rests, helping with bottles and light baby-related tasks, or stepping in wherever needed. It would also be a big plus if you’re open to helping with simple meal prep or light cooking for the parents. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working alongside a parent, takes initiative, and brings a calm, steady presence. Schedule: * 2–3 days per week * ~3–4 hours per shift * Flexible timing (ideally late morning / early afternoon) * Potential to increase hours over time if it’s a great fit Responsibilities: * Engage with and care for our infant (holding, soothing, age-appropriate interaction) * Assist with bottles and basic feeding support * Light baby-related household tasks (bottles, laundry, tidying play areas) * Help with simple meal prep / light cooking for parents (as time allows) * Provide general support so mom can take breaks and recharge What we’re looking for: * Experience with infants (0–6 months strongly preferred) * Comfortable working in a home where a parent is present * Proactive, observant, and able to step in without needing constant direction * Kind, patient, and reliable * Strong communication and good judgment Nice to have: * Prior experience as a mother’s helper or nanny for infants * Comfortable with basic cooking or meal prep * References from families with young babies About us: We’re a dual-career couple navigating life with a new baby.
