About this nanny job
We are a friendly family in Fairfax looking for a nurturing and reliable part-time sitter for our 7-month-old daughter. She is incredibly social, loves meeting people, and is happiest when she’s getting some fresh air! Because my husband is a firefighter with a rotating 6-day schedule, our needs shift weekly. We are looking for care 1–2 days per week (typically 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM). I work from home and am still nursing, so we’d love for you to stay local so I can pop out for feedings every 2.5–3 hours. You are more than welcome to hang out at the house, enjoy our yard, or take her on local neighborhood walks and park visits! We’re looking for someone to be an active part of her day: - Daily Care: Handling nap routines, diaper changes, and feeding solids. - Developmental Play: Engaging her with tummy time, practicing sitting/scooting, reading books, and sensory play. - Outdoor Fun: Enjoying the yard or strolls to the local park. - Communication: Staying in touch regarding the rotating weekly calendar. We have a sweet 12-year-old senior dog (large but very gentle) and are planning to add a puppy to the family soon, so you must be comfortable around dogs.
