I’m looking for a kind, reliable, emotionally mature sitter to help with occasional evening care in my home. I’m the primary caregiver for two children, ages 7 and 15, and I’m hoping to build a trusted relationship with someone who can become a steady part of our support system over time. Most of the care I need would be occasional weekend evenings so I can have some time out, attend events, or simply get a break. I’m also open to some weeknight evenings, which may be an easier shift because my 7-year-old goes to bed fairly early. Weeknight care would usually involve dinner or snacks, helping with the bedtime routine, light supervision, and being a calm adult presence in the home. My 7-year-old is active, creative, affectionate, and does best with someone who is patient, playful, and able to keep a simple routine. My 15-year-old is more independent and creative, but still needs appropriate supervision, boundaries, and a steady presence in the home. I’m looking for someone who is comfortable with both younger children and teens. The ideal sitter is dependable, nurturing, grounded, and able to stay calm if kids are tired, emotional, or testing limits. I appreciate someone who can follow household expectations, communicate clearly, and help keep things peaceful. This is not a heavy housekeeping role, but I do appreciate someone who can help with simple kid-related tasks during the shift, such as making sure dishes from snacks or dinner are handled, toys or activities are put away, and the house is left reasonably tidy. At first, I’m looking for short evening shifts while we get to know each other. Once trust and familiarity are established, I may be interested in occasional overnight care or possibly a full weekend of care, depending on comfort level and fit. Because this is in-home care, consistency and trust matter a lot to me. I’m looking for someone who genuinely enjoys children, respects family routines, and can provide safe, calm, loving support while I take some much-needed time to recharge.
