Location: Long Beach, CA (near CSULB) Duration: 6-Month Contract (May – November) Schedule: 12pm-5pm M-F (flexible) The Overview: We are looking for a dedicated, medically-comfortable caregiver for our 6-year-old son, Kai. Kai has been a "warrior" through a long-term cancer journey (ATRT). As I return to full-time work for a 6-month assignment, we need a reliable partner to provide protective supervision, physical assistance, and engagement while I am in my home office. Key Responsibilities: • Protective Supervision: Constant monitoring for safety and well-being. • Mobility Assistance: Kai needs some extra help on stairs and uneven surfaces; you must be comfortable holding his hand and offering guidance. • Engagement: Playing, reading, and keeping his spirits high. He is a bright, sweet boy who loves connection. • Reliability: This role is critical to our family’s ability to function; punctuality is non-negotiable. • Vibe: Patient, calm under pressure, and inherently kind.
