Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Autism Learning Support Provider We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or ABA-trained learning support provider to work with two autistic children in a homeschool setting in Brooklyn, NYC. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with children in a family-centered environment and who values child-led, play-based, and hands-on learning experiences. The children are highly independent, curious, active, and outdoorsy. They enjoy movement, nature exploration, sensory activities, creative play, and community-based learning experiences. Parents are very involved and will provide the educational structure, daily expectations, and schedule for the provider to follow. Schedule & Compensation Pay: $40–45/hour (on the books) Location: NYC Schedule determined by parents Position follows most major New York City Department of Education holiday closures and school breaks Consistent weekly hours available Responsibilities Support children during homeschool instruction and daily learning routines Implement ABA-based strategies and behavioral supports when needed Assist with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and adaptive skills Facilitate structured educational activities, outdoor learning, sensory play, and community outings Encourage independence, problem-solving, and self-help skills Help maintain routines, transitions, and engagement throughout the day Collect basic behavioral or learning data if requested by parents Collaborate respectfully with parents regarding goals, routines, and progress Create a positive, safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment Preferred Qualifications Active RBT certification preferred Experience working with autistic children Background in ABA, Special Education, psychology, childcare, or related fields Comfortable following parent-led educational and behavioral plans Patient, warm, playful, organized, and proactive Comfortable with outdoor activities, movement-based learning, and community engagement Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is nurturing yet structured, enjoys active children, understands neurodivergent learners, and can balance learning support with fun, meaningful engagement throughout the day.
