This is a part-time role starting at 30 hours per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right fit. We're looking for someone who adapts easily and stays flexible, as this role evolves with our family's needs. The ideal candidate takes initiative, keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, and genuinely enjoys being part of a family's day-to-day life. Family assistant duties (80%) Oversee daily household operations — laundry, dishes, tidying, restocking, errands, and returns Manage family logistics, calendars, schedules, and appointments, anticipating needs proactively Coordinate household vendors and service providers (cleaners, maintenance, dog walker, contractors) and support larger projects such as home organization or renovations Plan weekly menus, grocery shop, and prepare meals including occasional family dinners Create and maintain organizational systems to keep the household running efficiently Provide light daily care for the family's Golden Retriever — feeding and walks Occasional travel with the family as needed Childcare support (20%) Provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate care for a 5-year-old and a newborn as needed Additional childcare support during maternity leave and transition periods Cover childcare during school/daycare closures or sick days Engage the older child in creative, enriching, age-appropriate activities Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children Keep children's rooms and play areas tidy and organized Requirements Must consent to and pass a comprehensive background check Must be fully vaccinated (up to date on routine vaccines) Prior experience as a family/personal assistant, house manager, or nanny Excellent organizational and time management skills Trustworthy, discreet, and comfortable in a private home environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Comfortable with dogs CPR/first aid certification a plus Compensation discussed during interview (payroll required) · Growth to full-time possible
