About this nanny job
We are looking for a caring, patient, and engaging nanny/tutor to support our 5-year-old son this summer as he transitions from Kindergarten to 1st grade. This role is focused on structured childcare and educational support from approximately 12–3 PM, 2–3 days per week, beginning in June. Our son is bright, energetic, athletic, and thrives with positive encouragement, movement, and hands-on learning. He benefits from calm structure, consistency, and engaging activities that make learning fun and confidence-building. The primary focus of this role will be helping with: • Phonics and early reading skills • Writing practice • Hands-on math games and number sense activities • Educational games and enrichment activities • Science/STEM exploration • Outdoor play and movement activities • Spanish learning (a plus, but not required) We are looking for someone who can: • Create a positive and supportive learning environment • Keep activities engaging, playful, and structured • Help with emotional regulation and transitions in a calm manner • Encourage confidence and persistence during learning activities • Balance education with movement and fun Ideal candidates may have experience with: • Early childhood education • Kindergarten/1st grade learning support • ADHD, behavioral, or sensory-sensitive children • Tutoring or nanny experience Requirements: • CPR/First Aid certified preferred • Comfortable around two friendly dogs • Reliable transportation • Non-smoker This is not intended to be a strict “summer school” environment. We want someone who can help create positive learning experiences, build confidence, and support school readiness through connection, structure, creativity, and play.Nanny job details
