[About the Role] We are seeking an exceptional education-focused nanny / early childhood educator to care for and teach two bright, curious 3 year-olds in a small learning and play pod environment. This role blends high-quality caregiving with intentional early education, emphasizing emotional intelligence, curiosity-driven learning, and joyful development. This is an opportunity to design and lead a bespoke early learning experience that combines: -Personalized education -Social-emotional coaching -Creative exploration -Outdoor and experiential learning [Schedule] -20 hours per week (guaranteed) -2-3 days/week, full-day coverage (exact days TBD) -Opportunity to increase hours over time -Occasional additional hours by mutual agreement [Children] -Two 3 year-old girls -They are close friends who spend a lot of time together and are curious, warm, playful and social -They are both in nature-based preschools 3 days/week. The intention is to supplement that experience with individualized education to prepare them for Kindergarten ready. [Core Responsibilities] Educational Leadership: -Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum including: Early literacy, numeracy, language development, fine and gross motor skills -Plan daily learning activities that are play-based and curiosity-driven. Social-Emotional Development -Model and teach: Emotional regulation, empathy, conflict resolution, problem solving, communication Caregiving & Daily Rhythm: -Provide warm, attentive caregiving, including: meals & snacks, bathroom support, transitions, rest time -Create a predictable daily flow Enrichment & Exploration: -Plan outings and activities, including: Nature walks, museum trips, library visits, playgrounds, art & music activities Household Collaboration: -Maintain open communication with parents -Provide regular developmental updates -Collaborate on learning goals and emotional development -Provide daily setup and clean up of learning areas [Qualifications] Required: -3+ years of experience in early childhood education or professional nannying -Deep understanding of child development (ages 3–5) -Strong emotional intelligence and calm presence -CPR & First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain) -Background check & strong references Strongly Preferred: -Degree or coursework in: early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education -Former Preschool or Early Education teacher highly encouraged -Experience with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf
