We are a busy family in Park Slope, Brooklyn looking for a dependable, organized, and proactive House Manager / Household Assistant to help keep our home running smoothly. This is a long-term, part-time role for someone who enjoys creating order, staying ahead of household needs, and supporting the day-to-day flow of family life. We have two children — a fun and imaginative 5-year-old daughter and an active 18-month-old son. We both work full time, one primarily in office, one primarily from home. We also have a large dog who is only in the city part time – she spends approximately 50% of her time upstate and 50% here in the city. We are ideally looking for someone available twice per week (preferably Tuesdays and Fridays), for a few hours each visit. Scheduling is somewhat flexible for the right person. Compensation is approximately $30/hour, depending on experience and fit. Responsibilities may include: • Household organization and general tidying/resetting • Laundry, washing, folding, and occasional dry cleaning drop/pick up • Keeping household supplies stocked and organized • Grocery shopping and occasional household errands • Kitchen upkeep and basic meal prep (washing/chopping ingredients, organizing food, etc.) • If you enjoy cooking, we’d especially appreciate occasional help preparing simple meals earlier in the week • Managing inventory of pantry items, toiletries, cleaning products, and household essentials • Helping maintain systems and routines around the home • Occasional appointment and calendar management • Occasional pet care for our friendly large dog, who splits time between Brooklyn and upstate This is not a deep-cleaning role, but rather someone who can thoughtfully maintain and support the household on an ongoing basis. We’d love someone who is: • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Self-directed and proactive • Reliable, trustworthy, and communicative • Comfortable working independently • Experienced supporting busy households/families • Comfortable around children and dogs We are looking for someone who takes pride in helping a home feel calm, organized, and well cared for, and who is interested in building a consistent long-term relationship with our family.
